𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗿𝗲𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (a recruiter’s honest guide) Hi, I’m Yuliia L., Talent Acquisition Lead 💜 and I’ve seen hundreds of interviews from the other side of the screen 👀 And let me tell you something most candidates don’t realize: Rejections happen way more often than offers. Even to very strong people. Yes, even to the candidate you imagined waking up at 6 AM, meditating, and speaking fluent “perfect career” language. Spoiler: they also got rejected. A lot. After several interviews, candidates usually enter one of these stages: 🙂 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝟭: 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗺 “This went great!” 🤨 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝟮: 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 “Why did they ask about teamwork twice… was that a trap?” 🤡 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝟯: 𝗘𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀 “Maybe I should become a barista in Portugal.” (Recruiters fully support Portugal dreams, by the way 🇵🇹☕) But here’s the truth from inside hiring: Most rejections are 𝗡𝗢𝗧 about you being bad. Sometimes it’s: • another candidate with niche experience • timing • internal changes • a role being redefined mid-process (yes, this happens more than you think) Hiring is less like an exam and more like dating. You can be great. Just not the match right now. And here’s what actually helps candidates keep going: ✨ 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘀. Treat them as reps. Every interview is practice you don’t pay for. ✨ 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 like Pokémon cards. Even small patterns matter. ✨ 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵. A rejection email is not a personality review. ✨ 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿: 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂. We WANT candidates to succeed. Our job becomes easier when you shine. The candidates who eventually get offers are rarely the ones who never failed. They’re the ones who didn’t interpret rejection as a final answer. Just as: “Not here. Not yet.” And yes, even recruiters got rejected many times too 😉 #Recruitment #CareerAdvice #JobSearch #HiringProcess #CareerGrowth #InterviewTips #BetarioTeam #Betario
