Mid Backend Software Engineer

𝐖𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐌𝐢𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫 (Mostar, On-site) Catchfire Gaming is a B2B iGaming technology provider creating cutting-edge games, engagement tools, and platform solutions designed to captivate, engage, and retain players. We’re looking for a Mid Backend Software Engineer to join our team in Mostar and work on backend systems powering real iGaming products. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐥𝐥 𝐃𝐨: - Design, implement, and maintain Java and Node.js backend systems - Build scalable microservices and REST APIs - Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code - Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews - Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐖𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫: - 3+ years of software development experience - At least 1 year in a Mid-level backend role - Strong knowledge of Java or similar backend technologies - Familiarity with Node.js - Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.) - Experience building scalable systems, microservices, and REST APIs - Advanced English communication skills 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞: - Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) - Event-driven architecture or message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) - Formal education in a technical field 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐖𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 - Sliding work schedule (start anytime between 08:00–10:00) - 23 days annual leave + growing over time - Paid Personal Days - Learning platforms + training budget - In-house English and presentation training - Travel expense support At Catchfire Gaming, we build products that shape the future of iGaming, and we build engineers who grow with them.
