Switching roles within a company can feel like starting over. New team, new tasks, new expectations. But sometimes that's exactly what you need to grow. Antanas Jakutis, Senior Transaction Monitoring Analyst at #PAYSTRAX, made the leap and hasn't looked back. Here’s his story 👇 "Before PAYSTRAX, I was working as an engineer, installing fiber internet for people. A completely different world. Switching to an office role was a big change, but I was ready for it and wanted to try something new. That’s when I joined as a Junior Operations Specialist and spent about a year and a half in that role. Great team, learned a lot. But over time, I got curious about what the Transaction Monitoring team was doing. So when a spot opened up – I just went for it. What stood out to me about this role is that you really get to understand how merchants operate day to day. There are even some merchants I helped onboard back in Operations, and now I get to follow their activity from a completely different angle. That's pretty cool. My old team wasn't thrilled to see me go, not going to lie 😄 But we're still on great terms and I'm grateful for that foundation. It looked scary at first, but I'm happy I made the move. The new challenge keeps me on my toes and I'm not short of it here. If you've ever thought about switching to another role, I'd really recommend just going for it.
