Enterprise Architect

Vacancy!!!!! Enterprise Architect Introduction We are seeking a Technical Expert in Core Lottery Systems with proven experience in Enterprise Middleware and Land-Based Retail Lottery Solutions. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Kubernetes, containers, orchestrators, RESTful APIs, and service bus technologies. This role requires a deep understanding of high-availability transaction systems and integration within complex enterprise environments. Duties & Responsibilities Drive and prioritise strategic changes to accelerate the delivery of lottery platform components. Lead and influence the design and delivery of cross-cutting capabilities within the lottery ecosystem to enable continuous innovation and transformation. Own and maintain the lottery architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap from business, technology, and data perspectives, covering current (‘as-is’), future (‘to-be’), and transitional states. Consult and collaborate across multiple workstreams within Sizekhaya, ensuring alignment and integration across projects. Develop a deep understanding of Sizekhaya’s lottery ecosystem, reference architectures, and interdependencies to guide informed decision-making. Take a strategic, enterprise-wide view of all architectural domains, portfolios, and programmes beyond the lottery domain. Advise commercial and technology teams on business, technology, and data decisions that promote reuse, scalability, sustainability, and cost efficiency while reducing risk. Act as the custodian of Sizekhaya’s architectural principles, policies, and standards, ensuring consistency and compliance across solutions. Engage with stakeholders to ensure all initiatives align with the overarching lottery platform architecture strategy. Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies, trends, and innovations within the lottery and technology industries, assessing their potential impact and opportunities for Sizekhaya. Desired Experience & Qualification   Relevant Bachelor's Degree The candidate must have at least 5 years' using below technologies: Docker and Docker Compose Kubernetes (K8s) (Deployment Strategy, Service Discovery) CI/CD (like GitOps, ArgoCD, Pipelines) Observability tools (like Prometheus, Grafana) OpenAPI/Swagger specification API contract distribution, Gateway concept, API security methods Messaging brokers like RabitMQ Event streaming platforms like Apache Kafka Schema registry like Apicurio (Avro) Interested?
