$16,000 prize at Hacking Paris! We’re proud to have won first place, in the Fan-created content & Monetization track, at the Chiliz hackathon held at the Parc des Princes this past weekend. Our project, Prediction.live, is a real-time prediction tool built as a Google Chrome extension, fully integrated with Twitch. It allows esports fans to make short-term predictions using Chiliz Fan Tokens, without ever leaving the stream. While many teams built full-scale betting platforms, we took a step back and asked a different question: Do fans really want a new app? We don’t think so. Users have habits, you break them, you lose them. So instead of creating a new platform, we built a layer that fits exactly where fans already are: on Twitch, above the chat.
